These joyous classes engage pre-k through elementary school aged children in a unique combination of mindfulness-based games, yoga and arts and crafts to unlock the pure happiness of staying connected to the present moment.

Mindfulness for Middle Schoolers (ages 10 and up)

This program offered to children in their middle school years will instruct participants in fundamental mindfulness practices and explore how they may be applied to increase focus, reduce stress and ease the challenges of middle school, including homework, test-taking and complex social dynamics. Each lesson will include basic instruction and practice, as well as activities designed to improve executive function and reinforce the benefits of mindfulness. Participants will also be introduced to simple “happiness” practices that have been scientifically associated with increased happiness, resiliency and self-esteem.

Mindfulness as a Test-Taking Tool

This program, for students at all levels, offers instruction in specific techniques that may be used to focus the mind, improve recall and organization skills, and ease some of the stress of test-taking.

Happiness First, Success Later!

This 6-session program, specifically for teens, pulls together yoga, mindfulness, neuroscience, positive psychology and philosophy in a unique curriculum designed to enhance the participants’ confidence, resiliency and self-esteem. ┬áIt is our answer to the suffering examined in the documentary film, Race to Nowhere. Students will be given practical tools and techniques that they will be able to use to relax, create their own happiness, and navigate the social and academic stress and pressures of today’s high school scene, while at the same time receiving an introduction to the teachings of some of today’s most important experts in mindfulness and contemporary philosophy, including Jon Kabat-Zinn, Pema Chodron, and Eckhart Tolle
